Privacy & Data Use
Last updated: June 2026
KetzalFit is built to work with as little personal data as possible. You can generate a full workout and nutrition plan without creating an account, and the information you enter stays on your device unless you choose to sign in.
This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, where it lives, and how to ask us to delete it. It reflects how the product actually works today and will be updated as the product evolves.
The short version
- You don't need an account to generate a plan.
- Anonymous plans and onboarding answers are stored in your browser, on your device.
- If you sign in, we use your email address only as the identifier that links you to your own plans and progress.
- We don't ask for your name, address, phone number, or government ID.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for third-party advertising or profiling.
- You can ask us to delete your account data at any time.
Who we are
KetzalFit is an AI-assisted fitness planning product built by KetzalCode. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, you can reach us through the Contact page.
Using KetzalFit without an account
When you use KetzalFit anonymously, your onboarding answers and the workout and nutrition plans we generate are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. This data is not tied to a server-side account.
Because anonymous data lives in your browser, it stays on that device and is not synced across your phone and computer. Clearing your browser data, or using your browser's private/incognito mode, removes it.
To generate a plan, the fitness details you enter are sent to our service and to our AI provider for processing (see “AI processing of your inputs” below). We use them to produce your plan, not to build a profile of you.
Registered accounts and your email
If you choose to sign in, KetzalFit uses sign-in with Google. We do not create or store a password for you.
When you sign in, we receive and store your email address. We use it as a stable identifier so we can link your generated plans, progress, and related trainer data to your account and let you retrieve them later. Your email is stored in our managed database (Google Firebase/Firestore), which encrypts data at rest at the infrastructure level.
We intentionally do not request or retain unrelated personal information such as your full name, postal address, phone number, government ID, or other unnecessary identifying details.
Fitness information you provide
To build a plan, you may enter fitness details such as your goal, age, sex, height, weight, activity level, training availability and experience, available equipment, and optional metrics like target weight, body composition, sleep, or resting heart rate. For nutrition you may add dietary style, allergies, and food preferences, plus free-text notes, and in your profile you can record injuries or limitations.
This is fitness- and health-related information, and we're upfront about that: we don't claim that no health-related data is processed. We use what you enter only to generate, adjust, and improve your own plan experience.
Your fitness data is not treated as a public profile. It is not shown to other users by default.
AI processing of your inputs
KetzalFit generates plans using Azure OpenAI, a model service operated by Microsoft. To create or adjust your plan, the relevant fitness details you provide are sent to that service as part of the prompt and processed to produce the output you see.
We send only the context needed to generate your plan. This processing is handled by our infrastructure and AI providers under their own terms; we don't use your inputs to train public models ourselves.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how the product is used so we can improve it. These tools may collect usage and device information and related identifiers. We use this for aggregate product insight, not to sell your data.
How we use your data
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for unrelated advertising or third-party profiling. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and disclose it before doing so.
- To operate the product and generate, adjust, and improve your own plans.
- To maintain your account and let you retrieve your plans and progress.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To understand aggregate usage so we can improve the experience.
Who your data is shared with
We share data only with the infrastructure and service providers needed to run KetzalFit — for example Microsoft Azure (including Azure OpenAI), Google Firebase, our hosting provider, and the analytics tools above. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the security and rights of our users.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
How long we keep your data
Anonymous data stays in your browser until you clear it. Account data is retained while your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it.
Some information may persist for a limited time in backups, security logs, or records we're required to keep for legal, fraud-prevention, or compliance reasons, even after a deletion request.
Your choices and deleting your data
You can clear anonymous data at any time by clearing your browser storage or signing out, which removes locally stored data from that device.
To delete account-associated data, contact us through the Contact page and we will remove it. Deletion requests are currently handled manually; we may automate this later. The practical limits described above (backups, security, and legally required records) may apply.
Children
KetzalFit is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account or use the plans.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Changes are versioned in our code repository so they can be reviewed over time. This policy is provided for transparency and will receive a formal legal review before any monetization or broader launch.
